The part you should
be skeptical about.
Anyone can ask for a dollar. The question that decides whether you give is what happens to it after you do. This page exists to answer that in numbers rather than adjectives.
Every dollar, divided.
Our allocation figures are not published yet. We would rather show you nothing than show you a number we cannot document. The split will appear here, broken into program, processing, and operations, as soon as it is confirmed against the books and reviewed.
We are deliberately not claiming that 100% of your gift reaches the cause. Card processing alone makes that impossible, and organizations that claim it are either excluding costs someone else absorbed or are not counting carefully.
Who actually receives the money.
Grantee partners are being confirmed and are not listed yet. Rather than describe an unnamed “network,” we will publish the actual organizations, with links, once agreements are signed. If you would prefer to wait until then to give, that is a reasonable thing to do.
What you can check yourself.
Tax status
Gifts are received by Xstream Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
EIN: XX-XXXXXXX
You can verify any EIN independently through the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search. We would rather you did.
Annual filing
Our Form 990 is filed annually and is a public document. Once filed, it is linked here and is also retrievable from the IRS directly, without going through us.
Link appears here after the first filing period closes.
Governance
Board members, conflict-of-interest policy, and the written agreements between this fundraising property and the receiving foundation belong on this page. They are being finalized.
Your receipt
Every gift produces a dated, serial-numbered receipt with the EIN on it, suitable for your records. Recurring donors receive an annual summary.
How to stop giving.
A recurring commitment is only ethical if ending it is trivial.
Every receipt and every reminder email contains a cancel link that works in one click, with no confirmation step, no phone call, and no offer to stay. You can also email hello@raisingadollar.com and we will cancel it for you the same business day. If a cancellation ever fails, tell us and we will refund the charge.
